Band
You likely have a host and an auctioneer, along with a plan for the evening. We fit into it.
We work with your run of show. We can play quiet acoustic music during cocktails and dinner, bring out the full band for dancing after the program, or keep playing all night. We stay out of the auction. Your auctioneer runs it, and we pick the music back up when they’re done.
Share the run of show with us so we can plan our sets around it. Let us know which parts call for music or quiet, and how loud each part should be. If the schedule looks tight anywhere, we’ll tell you before the event, not while it’s happening.
While guests find their seats and begin their meal, we play a stripped down acoustic set that people can talk over. Sonny switches to percussion instead of the full drum kit.
Once the formal program ends, we can bring in the full band for dancing. You can also book us for the whole evening, dinner alone, or only the closing party.
Your auctioneer owns that segment. While it's going on we don't perform, and we keep our hands off the microphone.
Hire a licensed auctioneer if you haven’t hired one yet. In Texas it’s a licensed profession.
We already have the band's PA and microphones set up, so your host, presenters, and auctioneer can use them all night. You'll have one less vendor to coordinate, and everyone who uses a mic will come through the same system.
We can wear black tie or perform in our racing suits. It’s your choice.
Rik and Bob both handle the microphone, so announcements never hold up the music.
Our PA runs all night, not only during our sets. As guests arrive and between sets, we play recorded music through it, a playlist from a laptop. If you want more, Ricky Bobby DJ is a separate offering of Ricky Bobby Music that you can book together with the band in one booking.
You can pick the music, or tell us the mood and we’ll pick it. If you’ve hired your own DJ or host, they can use our system.
No. Your auctioneer handles the entire auction.
Yes. During cocktails and dinner we keep things acoustic and low-key so guests can converse, with Sonny on percussion rather than the complete drum kit.
Yes. We can play for dinner, for dancing after the program, or for both.
I am an automated assistant, not one of the band. Ask about the setlist, the show, or what we need from your venue. If you want a date looked at, I can pass your details to Rik, who handles booking, and I will tell you when I have.
