Karaoke
Ricky Bobby Karaoke, a karaoke DJ service from Austin, brings karaoke to your party, with Rik and Bob at the helm. This is one of three offerings from Ricky Bobby Music, and you can book it for birthdays, house and backyard parties, and office get-togethers.
Rik and Bob arrive wearing race suits. We put them on for every Ricky Bobby offering to pay homage to Talladega Nights, and we joke throughout the night. We don't play the film's characters.
Ricky Bobby Karaoke can handle any song at any moment. A guest names a song, the system downloads it on site, and it runs.
Ricky Bobby Karaoke uses the PA, stage lighting and smoke found in every Ricky Bobby offering. See the lighting and effects page for what comes with that setup.
You can book Ricky Bobby Karaoke on its own, or pair it with Ricky Bobby DJ or the band in one booking, or choose another mix. For karaoke and DJ bookings you get Rik and Bob; add the band and Sonny Sanchez joins on drums. Check packages to see how the combinations work.
Ricky Bobby Karaoke plays the recording for the singer, and no band performs. With live band karaoke, the band plays live over the full recording as a guest sings lead; that option is a band booking.
Rik Avalos came up fronting Austin rock bands on the Sixth Street club circuit with Dirty Oliver, and writes and records original music as the Rik Avalos Band at Austin's 512 Studios. Bob Michaels has played Austin stages with the Rave and Slippery Fish, and plays lead guitar in the Rik Avalos Band. Rik is Ricky and Bob is Bobby, which is where the name comes from.
You can hire a karaoke DJ through the booking form. Rik and Bob receive it directly, with no agency involved. You can also reach them at booking@rickybobbymusic.com or (415) 271-9960.
No. We bring Ricky Bobby Karaoke to your own event.
We don't publish prices. A quote begins with the booking form and depends on the date, venue, type of event and any travel.
I am an automated assistant, not one of the band. Ask about the setlist, the show, or what we need from your venue. If you want a date looked at, I can pass your details to Rik, who handles booking, and I will tell you when I have.
Anything you send here is covered by our privacy and data use page. Prefer a person? Use the booking form.
