One crew can run the whole wedding soundtrack

Ricky Bobby Music has three separate offerings that can be booked alone or together: Ricky Bobby, the live band; Ricky Bobby DJ; and Ricky Bobby Karaoke. Rik and Bob perform every offering. Add Sonny on drums when you book the band.

The difference is simple: you can start with live music, hand the late-night requests to the DJ, and open the microphone for karaoke without bringing in a parade of vendors. One booking. One point of contact. One race team.

What you get on the day

• Music that follows your plan. The band can play ceremony music to your own song list, an acoustic cocktail-hour set, a softer dinner set, announcements, and dance sets. Book any combination.
• A live three-piece wedding band. Drums, bass, guitar, and all vocals are played live. Multiple vocalists: Rik and Bob trade lead vocals, and every chorus has a lead voice with two backing voices.
• A real Austin wedding DJ. Build the set list with us before the wedding or let guests make requests on the night. Our DJ system can download music in real time.
• Karaoke when the party calls for it. Ricky Bobby Karaoke can run any song on site, so the guest with a big chorus and bad ideas can have the mic.
• Sound and lights handled. Every offering uses the same band-owned PA, stage lighting and smoke. We can also use a venue's house system.

Bring the band, DJ and karaoke together

Want live music for the dance sets and every guest request answered by a DJ? Do it. Want karaoke after the dance sets? Do it. The band, DJ and karaoke can be combined in one wedding booking, with one sound system behind it.

The band brings three sets of about forty-five minutes for a full evening, nearly back to back, with an encore if people want one. The first set is for guests arriving. The second leans into funk and Motown. The third is fast and loud, with no slow songs. See the setlist before you decide how much live music you want.

Get the music right before the doors open

Tell Rik and Bob your date, venue, which parts of the wedding you want covered, and what you want people dancing or singing to. If you want the band to learn a song, send it with enough notice. If you want the DJ to take requests, it is ready for them.

Booking goes straight to the performers through the booking form. No agency. No middleman. Just tell us what kind of wedding you are building and let us put the right engine under it.

Announcements and music between sets

Rik and Bob both handle the microphone, so announcements never hold up the music.

Our PA runs all night, not only during our sets. As guests arrive and between sets, we play recorded music through it, a playlist from a laptop. If you want more, Ricky Bobby DJ is a separate offering of Ricky Bobby Music that you can book together with the band in one booking.

You can pick the music, or tell us the mood and we’ll pick it. If you’ve hired your own DJ or host, they can use our system.
