For Austin private parties, birthdays, anniversaries and backyard parties, Ricky Bobby Music puts live music, DJ and karaoke in one booking. If you need birthday party entertainment or an Austin party musician with some personality, book one or put them together for a party your guests will still be arguing about on the ride home.
Rik and Bob arrive in race suits, joke around in Southern accents, and get the room moving. The suits are a Talladega Nights homage, not a character act. Add Sonny on drums and you have Ricky Bobby, the live band. Keep it to Rik and Bob for Ricky Bobby DJ or Ricky Bobby Karaoke.
This is party entertainment with a point of view. The first set gives people time to arrive. Then the funk and Motown hit. By the last set, it is fast and loud with no slow songs.
Ricky Bobby Music has three offerings that book alone or together: Ricky Bobby, the live band, Ricky Bobby DJ, and Ricky Bobby Karaoke. Rik and Bob perform every offering in costume. The band adds Sonny. The same PA, stage lighting and smoke support every mix.

Want live music, then the freedom to chase every guest request? Add Ricky Bobby DJ. Rik and Bob can build a song list with you before the party or take it wherever the room goes. Their system downloads music in real time, so a request does not have to be sitting in a library before the night starts.
Want the guests to become the show? Add Ricky Bobby Karaoke. Rik and Bob can run any song on site. Or choose live band karaoke and put a guest on lead vocal while the band plays live over the recording.
In a backyard or a ballroom, the band brings the same three players, PA and lights, at the volume the room can take. For a smaller room or a dinner where people need to talk, the band can play acoustically, with Sonny on percussion instead of the full drum kit.

Our PA runs all night, not only during our sets. As guests arrive and between sets, we play recorded music through it, a playlist from a laptop. If you want more, Ricky Bobby DJ is a separate offering of Ricky Bobby Music that you can book together with the band in one booking.
You can pick the music, or tell us the mood and we’ll pick it. If you’ve hired your own DJ or host, they can use our system.
Yes. Ricky Bobby DJ and Ricky Bobby Karaoke each book on their own, or you can combine either one with the band.
Yes. A full evening is three sets and about two and a half hours of live music. For a shorter night, we can play fewer sets or two longer ones.
Yes. Send band requests early so we can work them in. For DJ and karaoke, we can also take songs as the party develops.
